Rainy Day at Jungle Surfing

The rainforest in the wet season is a magical experience for many of our visitors, they start out a bit apprehensive about getting wet! But when they realise the tropical rain is warm and invigorating, they often surprise themselves and have a fantastic time.

The rainforest in the green season is bursting with life, its senses have been reawakened by the rain. It’s like the rainforest is doing its very own celebratory rain dance.

The rain brings the frogs out to play and snakes are on the prowl for a tasty dinner. Insects, bandicoots and birds are busy protecting and rebuilding their nests.

If you visit in the wet season, you’ll actually get to see the rainforest at its most vibrant. Two of our zipline spans go across the beautiful Mason Creek, which is pumping at this time of year. The photo below is take in the middle of one of our zipline spans, where you’ll get to stop to grab a stunning photo.

Fresh Water Creek

We’d recommend everyone coming up to the Daintree at this time of year. The forest is revitalized in the rain and you’ll definitely come away with a big smile on your face, its a real opportunity to see the Daintree at its finest.
